Yes on all counts. We're a registered Australian company with $10 million public liability cover, and both of us are certified in Working Safely at Heights and hold White Cards. And when you book, you get us — Aaron or David — not a subcontractor. The blokes who quote the job are the blokes who do it.

Why does gutter cleaning matter — is it really a fire risk?

In the Ranges and Valley, absolutely. Dry leaves and bark packed in your gutters are exactly what embers look for on a bad day. But it's not just fire — blocked gutters overflow into your roof cavity, walls and ceilings, and water damage like that gets expensive fast. A clean is a lot cheaper than an insurance claim. Better to call us before you end up calling your insurer.

How often should gutters be cleaned?

For most homes up here, twice a year does it — a clean in autumn once the leaves have dropped, and again in spring before bushfire season. We're not trying to beat them on price, and honestly, what matters most is that your gutters get cleaned and nobody gets hurt doing it — even if that's not with us. What you're paying us for is the difference: $10 million public liability insurance and working-at-heights certification, before-and-after proof of the work, gutters vacuumed and rinsed properly clean — not just de-leafed — downpipes checked, and no mess left behind.

Do you fix leaking gutters or blocked downpipes?

We clean and protect gutters — that's the job. Leaking joints, sagging or re-sloping gutters, downpipes blocked below ground: that's plumber work, and we won't have a crack at a trade that isn't ours. What we will do is clear any blockage we can reach at the outlet, flag the problem in your photo report, and point you to a good local plumber — we know a few.

Do you charge extra for double-storey?

No — never. Your price is sized by your gutters, not your storeys. A two-storey home costs the same as a single-storey one with the same gutter run. Plenty of operators load a premium for height; we don't. It's simple — your price comes down to the one thing that actually matters.

What does a clean include?

Accepted Answer

The full works, every time. We look first — by drone, or up on the roof — then laser-confirm your price before we touch a thing. Before photos and video, then any branches sitting on or over your gutter line get trimmed back while we're there. Then we clear the debris off the roof and out of the valleys, vacuum the gutters end to end with our SkyVac, and rinse out the remaining sediment, watching the water away so you know your downpipes are flowing. After photos and video to finish, and anything we spotted up there — rust, sagging brackets, cracked tiles — gets flagged in your report. Everything we cleared leaves with us, and your report — before-and-after photos and the walkthrough video — arrives with the invoice. Ground-level-only cleaning is available too, at no extra cost.

Do you need to get up on my roof?

Accepted Answer

Less than you'd think. Most of the clean happens from the ground — the SkyVac reaches your gutters without ladders leaning on your walls, and we keep our time on the roof to a minimum. Some jobs still need us up there — a sapling taking root in a gutter, wet muck a vacuum won't lift — and when they do, we go old-school with gloves and a bucket. We're not precious about it. The job gets done to our standard either way.

Can you trim the branches hanging over my gutters?

If a branch is hanging over or sitting on your gutter line and we can reach it from where we're already working, we'll trim it back as part of the clean — no charge. It's half the reason gutters block up in the first place, so it'd be silly not to. Anything bigger is a job for an arborist, and we'll tell you straight — we know who to call.

Do I need to be home?

Accepted Answer

No — most jobs run fine while you're out. The before-and-after photo and video report tells the whole story, and the invoice arrives the same day. If you are home, we'll show you the laser reading before we start and walk you through anything we found when we're done.

What is the Maintenance Plan, and how does the discount work?

It's set-and-forget gutter care, timed to leaf fall and fire season — and it's simple: 10% off every clean from your second visit onward, as long as your last clean with us was within the last 8 months. No ladder to climb, no points — keep a clean inside every 8 months and the discount just stays on, whatever rhythm you're on.

Is there a contract or lock-in — and can I cancel?

None. No contract, no lock-in, no upfront payment, no direct debit. Being on the plan just means we've got your cleans booked in on a schedule, and you pay per visit on the day like any other job. Cancel whenever you like — the only thing you give up is the member discount, which lapses 8 months after your last clean.

How often should my gutters be cleaned — and do I start at full price?

For most homes up here, twice a year — once the autumn leaves are down, and again before fire season. Heavier canopy usually means every 4 months, and bushland-edge blocks do best quarterly. We'll tell you what we'd do when we see your gutters, but the rhythm is always your pick — switch anytime. And if you've had a clean with us in the last 8 months, it counts: your next one is 10% off, and your membership starts from day one.

What are gutter guards, and do I need them?

Gutter guard is a mesh system fitted over your gutters, designed to keep leaves, bark and embers out while letting water through. Up here under the gums, it can cut right down how often your gutters need clearing and adds a layer of ember protection during fire season. If you're tired of constant cleaning or you're serious about bushfire prep, it's well worth considering.

How are gutter guards quoted?

Every install is different, so we quote on site rather than online — roof profile, gutter run and the right product all change the job. We come out, measure properly, and give you a firm quote up front, in writing — no vague ballpark you can't rely on. Request a quote through our website and we'll arrange a time to take a look.

Are your guards bushfire/ember (BAL) rated?

Ember protection matters up here, and it's front of mind in every system we recommend. Ratings and warranties depend on the exact product for your roof — we'll take you through the specs, in writing, when we come to quote.

What warranty comes with them, and which roofs can you do?

Accepted Answer

Warranty terms depend on the system we fit — you'll get the manufacturer's warranty in writing with your quote. We install across all the common roof types up here — corrugated and Colorbond, tile, Trimdek, Klip-Lok, and valleys. Not sure what you've got? We'll work it out when we come to quote.

Will guards mean I never clean my gutters again?

Not never, but a lot less often. A well-fitted guard is designed to cut debris right down — for most homes that typically means an occasional top-up rather than regular clearing. It's easy enough to blow them out yourself now and then to keep them flowing — but if you'd rather not get up there, we're always happy to do it for you, either as a one-off or as a scheduled check on the Maintenance Plan.

I already have gutter guard — can you still clean my gutters?

Usually, yes — but guarded homes vary. What's fitted, and who fitted it, can make a clean simple or a wrestle, so we look at it on the day and tell you straight what we can clean and whether the guard's actually doing its job. Guard we install is chosen and fitted to be serviced — cleans on our own installs are quicker, and priced accordingly.

How do I get a guard quote, and can I bundle it with a clean?

Just request a guard quote through our website and we'll arrange a time to measure up. Plenty of customers get a clean done first, then have guards fitted — it's often the smart order to do it in, and we can sort both. One less thing on your list.
